Rebecca is a Death Doula and Grief Guide who provides end-of-life planning, bedside support, and grief care. She believes that death and grief work is about cultivating the capacity to navigate unbearable loss with presence and resilience. Her approach centers on identifying where agency exists within the experience of death and loss, fostering support and connection, and embracing both softness and resilience in the face of transition.
Rebecca works with individuals of all ages, guiding them through life’s transitions with compassion and clarity. She creates a space where people feel empowered to approach what lies ahead with greater confidence and courage. Her work encourages deep reflection on what brings joy and meaning, while also supporting individuals in making intentional provisions for their end-of-life care.
Her services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each person and include end-of-life planning, bedside vigils, and grief support. While not clinical or medical in nature, her work complements skilled nursing and hospice care, offering an additional layer of presence and guidance. Grounded in Zen Buddhist influence but serving people of all faiths and backgrounds, her practice is secular, inclusive, and adaptable to both in-person and virtual support.
Rebecca is a certified Grief Care Coach, Grief Ritualist, Death Doula, and End-of-Life Educator. She is also a certified yoga and meditation teacher. A longtime resident of Berkshire County, she is deeply committed to this work as her life’s calling.
Her work is influenced by teachers such as Roshi Joan Halifax, Francis Weller, Alua Arthur, and Karine Bell. Her practice is grounded in principles of social justice, aiming to create inclusive spaces where structural inequities are actively examined and addressed. She believes in fostering genuine relationships and circles of care that honor the sovereignty of individuals while building supportive networks for shared resources and mutual aid.
For Rebecca, end-of-life, death, and grief work are fundamentally about respecting individual autonomy, cultivating community care, and sharing resources to support one another through life's profound transitions. In addition to having founded Berkshire Death Doulas, she is also the founder of The Grievery, an online grief support group.
